What is the number one food Collingwood recommends for reducing belly fat? Lawyers. “Loaded with healthy (monounsaturated) fats, avocados help regulate blood sugar, reduce cravings, and keep you feeling full longer, helping to reduce belly fat,” she says. There are many ways to enjoy an avocado. You can add them to a salad, mash them and make avocado toast, or eat them as a side for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. However, try not to overdo it, as they contain a decent amount of calories.

Eggs

Eggs are one of the most versatile foods and a great source of nutrients if you’re trying to lose weight. “Packed with high-quality protein, eggs promote satiety, stabilize blood sugar, and help your body burn more calories for digestion (the thermal effect of food),” says Collingwood. They also fill you up quickly. Again, they contain a decent amount of fat and calories, so consider mixing an egg or two with egg whites to add protein without much of a caloric impact.

Berries, including blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, are another great food for reducing belly fat, according to Collingwood. “Berries are low in calories and high in fiber and antioxidants, which fight inflammation and promote fat loss, especially around the belly,” she says. Stick to a small handful per day!” Collingwood said. You can eat a handful of nuts as a snack, toss them into your salad, or use them when preparing your favorite dishes.
