It is always essential to stay up to date on product reminders. Although most of the recalled products will probably not land you in the hospital, some may affect your health. Recently, a handful of major reminders have had an impact on food that many of us eat. Here are reminders that have just announced 5 popular foods.
Country eggs
Country Eggs, LLC, recalled large brown eggs sold in two states due to a possible contamination by Salmonella. Ninety-five people in 14 states were affected and 18 were hospitalized. Large brunette without cage “Sunshine” or “Omega-3 Golden” Yolk Eggs sold by the dozen in California and Nevada under the names of the Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho and Nijiya market were recalled.
Cocktail shrimp
Aquastar (USA) Corp recalled the 6 Oz cocktail shrimp due to the possible health risks. The shrimps may be contaminated by the CS-137, an artificial radio-isotope of the cesium, which can cause a high risk of cancer. They were sold in Walmart stores in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgie, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi and Wisconsin. “The Walmart and Sam’s club is committed to the health and safety of our customers and our members and the supply of safe and compliant products, all supported by our health and well-being professionals, product safety and food security,” the company said in a press release. “In the event of a product recall, we work quickly to prevent the article from being sold and withdraw it from our stores and clubs.”
Hostess Ding Dongs
The hostess Ding Dongs was removed from the shelves nationwide on August 20 due to a possible contamination of molds. This may have been the effect of a mechanical description during production, creating conditions that have made pastries sensitive to the growth of molds before the expiration dates. Dongs recalled must be thrown or returned for a refund or replacement.
Salad kits
Taylor Fresh Foods Reminder. According to the recall, the prefabricated salads contain undeclared sesame and soy. The products were sold in Walmart stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginie-Western.
Blue bell ice cream
Blue Bell Cremeries recalled more than 16,000 ice cream baths in 16 states due to a dangerous labeling error. Mo-Lenlennium Crunch ice has been wrapped in boxes of cookie paste with chocolate chips. Consequently, the boxes have not listed almond, nuts and pecan allergens. The product is sure to eat, unless you have an allergy or sensitivity to nuts.
